Brown trout record caught in Branson, Mo.

Here's another reason to visit Branson, Mo. On Nov. 20, Scott Sandusky of Arnold, Mo., was drift fishing in nearby Lake Taneycomo when he caught a new state record brown trout. The fish weighed 28 pounds, 12.8 ounces. Sandusky was angling for small rainbow trout to eat for dinner and was fishing with four-pound test line. His bait was rainbow-colored paste Powerbait, made by Berkley. His big trout beat the old state record for more than a pound. The world record brown trout, 40.25 pounds, was caught from Arkansas' Little Red River in 1992.
